The "man cave". Put simply, the space in our house, where my hubby goes to relax! There he will find his computer. It is a space I do not dare to organise (until today!), I do not frantically clean once a week and I do not question the items I find in there (eg: car parts he is selling on ebay, the bathroom scales he uses to weigh the items etc!) The man cave rarely gets the attention that the rest of our home does.
Every Monday (my normal day off) I spend my day doing wife duties. It's my favourite day of the week - I mean that! I really enjoy being a wife, cleaning, washing the clothes, grocery shopping etc. Monday is my day to do what I love doing. By the end of the day, I flop into bed, exhausted, and go to sleep content knowing my home is clean and ready for another hectic week while we work.
The man cave on the other hand, does not get the treatment the other rooms of our house get. It is left to be, the door closed. The reason for this? If I move anything, and I mean, anything... he will know. He likes the man cave to be the way he put it. It's a bit like organised chaos. And to be honest, I don't really mind. (But shoosh, don't tell him that!) I can close the door and no one would know.
I woke up this morning on a mission from the get go. Hubby was home, and I was ready to take advantage of that! So, this afternoon we attacked the man cave like two bulls at a gate! We filed all our paperwork, we organised the computer desk, cleaned up the bookcase, rearranged the room into a more logical setup, we even managed to get a few extra things up on ebay. The whole room has been transformed!
And of course, being a Monday, I also cleaned our home. I did loads of washing - clothes and sheets, cleaned my shower, bath, vaintity, toilet, laundry, kitchen, oven, vaccumed, mopped, dusted, cleaned the fridge out... Right now, I feel exhausted... a normal feeling for a Monday night. I also feel content. Also a normal feeling for a Monday night.
So here I am. Ready for sleep.
Goodnight.
